About G.L.O.W.

United Conference for Women recognizes that our younger generation faces serious challenges geared to distract and potentially destroy them. We want to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who do not know Him, and encourage those who are Christians to grow and be a light amongst their peers. Equipping our young ladies with the word of God to prepare them for the world we are in. In Luke 4:4, it says But Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'We shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God."

Girls Living on the Word (GLOW), the youth ministry of the United Conference for Women was launched in 2009.

G.L.O.W. was developed to invest in the lives of young ladies 13-17 years old. The leadership for this branch of UCW is comprised of young adult women who are committed to impact this target age group, and they are committed to living a lifestyle that reflects Godly living on a daily basis. The staff is transparent and intentional in sharing their joy and hope in Jesus Christ. The sessions are designed to address the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of the young participants.

Our young ladies face serious challenges to distract and potentially destroy them. We want to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who don’t know Him and encourage our Christian young women to grow and be a light amongst their peers. We want to equip them with tools and resources that challenge them to be young women of God and encourage them to G.L.O.W.! We present to them ....“THE REMIX”: same message, different methods of delivery.

We are excited to present G.L.O.W., the youth ministry of United Conference for Women. For over 39 years, UCW has had an annual conference for women held to present God’s Word and to encourage them to grow in their walk with the Lord as exemplified in our motto, “Daily Strength for Daily Needs”. It is our desire to continue to reach women of all generations. We understand the need to invest in the lives of girls ages 13 – 17 years old. G.L.O.W.’s leadership is composed of young adult women who are committed to impact this generation of young ladies committed to living a life style daily that reflects Godly living. The staff is transparent and intentional in sharing their joy and hope in Jesus Christ. The sessions are designed to address their physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs.
