Mia Butler-Franklin

As stated in Isaiah 49:1, "The Lord hath called me from the womb..." Mia Patrice Butler-Franklin was called to ministry before she was conceived in her mother's womb; she was called at the foundation of the Earth. Our heavenly Father decided that this young lady would be born on a Sunday morning in January 1975...and so it was; her journey to fulfill her God-ordained position on Earth began.

Matthew 20:16 says, "...many be called, but few chosen."  Mia was chosen to teach the word and has been doing so since 2002.  Not only does she teach the word, she is a teacher by profession.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix Online.

On the first Sunday in February 2005 she delivered her first sermon after answering her calling to "Preach the word...in season, out of season" according to 2 Timothy 4:2.  In July 2005 she received her certificate being recognized as an Evangelist from the late Pastor Robert L. Ware of Beulah First Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan.  On September 27, 2015, Mia became a licensed minister of God's Word by Pastor Rubin H. Benjamin of Beulah First Missionary Baptist Church.  Mia understands the importance and power of prayer; therefore, she uses this spiritual tool to come against the enemy of God.  She teaches Sunday School and has been the director of Vacation Bible School since 2003.  She has also taught Bible class and Vacation Bible School.

She is the wife of James Franklin II and the mother of James III, Marcus and Myles.

Most importantly, Mia loves the Lord and isn't afraid to stand for Him no matter where she is.
